Tabourie Lake sewerage scheme

Background and overview

The new sewerage system has connected Tabourie Lake into the Milton/Ulladulla Scheme at Burrill Lake and is providing residents with a system for collection of sewage.

The pressure sewerage system was eventually chosen as the most suitable for the area and it comes with some distinct advantages providing a more cost effective, stable and environmentally friendly solution as it has:

Before the Tabourie Lake Scheme could be implemented the new sewage treatment plant at Ulladulla had to be completed and commissioned.

Current status

Construction is completed for the wastewater transfer system. This has been undertaken by Ledonne Constructions Pty Ltd. The works comprised a pipeline from the bridge to a transfer pumping station established near the Wairo Beach Caravan Park, then a pipeline to the Burrill Lake Sewerage System. There is currently an upgrade of three pumping stations at Burrill Lake this is being undertaken by McNamee constructions; and the two pumping stations at Dolphin Point will be decommissioned.

Construction of the pressure sewer system for the village including the installation of a pressure sewer unit on each property is now complete.
