Report a pressure sewer system problem

Pressure sewer systems operate like a normal sewerage system taking waste liquids from your kitchen, bathroom and laundry, and transferring it to the reticulation system or treatment plant. If the wastewater within your house becomes slow to drain, you may have a problem, and we need to know.

Good access to the boundary box and the pressure sewer unit collection well is essential for any maintenance or repairs.

Steps to report a problem

Respond to the alarm

Step 1.Turn the alarm off

Press the mute button underneath the alarm panel. Notice that the alarm light will remain on. 

Step 2.Monitor the flashing light

Wait an hour and then come back. The system needs time to clear itself. If the light is still flashing after an hour, call us on (02) 4429 3214.

Step 3.Do not attempt to repair the unit yourself

The system has a 24-hour emergency storage capacity so any repairs will be carried out within the 24-hour period.

We advise to minimise the amount of wastewater going into the system during this time period.

If the problem is urgent, call us immediately on 02 4429 3214 so we can get our team out to investigate as soon as possible.

We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  

What happens next

We will investigate the problem

  • If the problem is in the system, we will repair the unit or clear the blockage.
  • If the problem turns out to be in your internal lines, we will notify you to contact a plumber.
