Apply for a plumbing reimbursement

If a private plumber has attended a sewer related issue at your property, and they confirm the blockage was in Council’s sewer main, and Shoalhaven Water was notified and attended the site to clear the blockage in Council's mains, you may be eligible for reimbursement of the plumber’s call‑out and investigation costs. Reasonable reimbursements are typically between $200 and $300 (including GST).

We provide a 24/7 service for sewer blockages and should be contacted as the first point of call wherever possible.

How to apply

Step 1.Have a copy of your plumber's invoice ready to upload

Before applying, your plumber's invoice must be paid in full and provide details of the work carried out. Please note that reimbursement does not apply to work carried out on internal property plumbing services.

Step 2.Complete the online application form

Upload a copy of your paid plumber's invoice when prompted.
